Welcome to Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church. Our church is situated in Surrey Centre, a quiet enclave in Cloverdale which was the historic heart of Surrey over a century ago. We are now a bit of a green haven in a fast-growing neighbourhood surrounded by new homes.

I think that the best way to describe our community is genuine. In a fast-moving and shifting culture, there is a rootedness in our worship. We have stained glass, not acres of drywall, and find our faith strengthened in thoughtful preaching and in the mystery of weekly Communion which we still call by its ancient Greek name: Eucharist.

One young woman who started coming to our church shared how much she has loved discovering our church. She poignantly said. “I love coming here because this is the first church I have been involved in where I do not feel shame.” Everything Jesus was about was compassion. We hope you find a home in our community because something in you longs to connect your heart and your mind with faith, hope and love.

I often think that the theme from “Cheers captures our community “Where everybody knows your name”. When people come forward to receive communion we like to be able to say “John, Sally…. the body of Christ”
